The supreme court issues TRO to stop Cybercrime Prevention Act Law. Many people against in this new implemented law especially the bloggers around the philippines.
According to Rappler.com reports,
In a unanimous verdict, the High Tribunal issued a temporary restraining order on the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, the same insiders added.
The verdict comes on the same day that the Department on Justice (DOJ) began its consultations with various sectors to clarify the details and meaning of the law.
A total of 15 petitions were filed with the High Court questioning the constitutionality of the law, which, among others, criminalizes libel, increases penalties of crimes under the Revised Penal Code to one degree, and allows government agencies to collect traffic data.
Lawyers and media organizations have slammed the law for its ambiguities and the power it extends to the Department of Justice, which can shut down any web site based on prima facie evidence of libelous content.
No less than a Senator, Sen. Teofisto Guingona III, is a petitioner before the Supreme Court. Guingona was the only senator who did not sign the bill, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12 and took effect on October 3.
Anonymous Philippines also took responsibility for shutting downgovernment websites last week, as a form of protest.

Governor Vilma Santos admitted that she will be supportive if ever her son Luis Manzano will join mayoral candidate next year in Lipa.
“Hindi ko naman ini-encourage si Lucky, kasi at the end of the day it’s not our decision. It will be his decision. If he thinks he’s prepared or gusto niya for a change na magsilbi, why not? Sino kami para tumanggi? We’re here to support him. Pero kung sa tingin niya hindi pa siya nadadapat, then I guess hindi na rin muna dapat. So decision yun ni Lucky, hindi namin decision.”
Gov. Vilma Santos also said that she is happy for Luis Manzano for all the hard work and Luis's fame in Philippine Showbiz Industry
“Si Lucky is doing very well. Isang anak ko na very independent na kung saan man siya ngayon, hindi niya kami ginamit ni Edu.Kanyang trabaho yan, ni minsan hindi niyo narinig niyan na nanay ko si Vilma or tatay ko si Edu. Lahat yan nag-umpisa siya as a disc jockey so he started mababa, na kung anong meron siyia ngayon, yan ay trinabaho niyaand for that I am very, very proud of Lucky. Marunong sa buhay, alam niya kung saan niya dadalhin ang pera niya. That’s one thing. Yun lang naman dinadasal ko, yung guidance sa mga anak ko,” she adds.

Luis Manzano clears the issue of joining politics
. “Ako namannever kong sinabing papasok talaga ako [sa pulitika], never kong kinonfirm Sabi ko naman I’ll cross the bridge when I get there,” paglilinaw ni Luis.
“Second siguro nakita rin ni daddy both sides of politics (good and bad) dahil tumakbo rin siya dati, so ‘di maiiwasan na maging protective siya bilang ama,” depensa pa ni Luis. “Tama rin si Daddy na mas malaki ang kinikita ko ngayon bilang isang artista. Ang sa akin lang naman, I’m happy where I am right now. I’m very, very happy sa lahat ng ginagawa ko. Kung dumating ‘yung point na hindi na ako happy at may panawagan ang mga tao siguro iku-consider ko. But at this point, ako na ang nagsasabi, wala pa po sa isip ko.”
Luiz Manzano admitted na walang pa siyang konkretong decision if he will join politics. Malaki naman daw ang respeto niya sa kayang pamilya especially to his mom and dad
“At the same time, nakikita ko rin naman ang ehemplo ng mommy ko (Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos) so there are always two sides to consider. So ‘yun lang ‘yung akin, if I feel na I’m not happy with what I’m doing sa showbiz, ‘pag feeling ko iba na ang calling ko, iko-consider ko, [pero] hindi ko sinasabing automatic magpo-politicsako.”
Edu Manzano admitted that he does not want his son "Luis Manzano" to join politics
“I told him no. I’m strongly against it,” the Kapatid host said when asked for his opinion regarding reports that Luis is planning to enter politics.
Edu also explained the launch of TV5's new game show "Game N' Go"
“Ako, hindi ako naniniwala na gagawa ka ng pelikula o telebisyon, pagkatapos gagawa ka rin ng public service. Madi-divide yung attention. The people do not deserve it.”

After a 'hypoglycemic episode' during the impeachment trial, Chief Justice Renato Corona has been advised to skip Wednesday's trial and stay in the hospital's intensive care unit for 48 hours for further medical observation due to possible heart attack.
Dr. Eugenio Jose Ramos, senior vice president of Medical City in Pasig, told reporters that Corona is considered a "very high-risk patient" and doctors are treating him for "possible acute coronary syndrome or heart attack."
Corona, a diabetic, was brought to the hospital Tuesday evening for "shortness of breath, cold sweats and light-headedness" after suffering from hypoglycemia, according to the medical bulletin.
Meanwhile, Senate doctor Mariano Blancia arrived at the Medical City to confirm Corona's condition as ordered by Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile.

Senator-judges are reportedly going to hold a caucus at noon to decide whether the court will wait for Corona following his health condition.
Yesterday, Enrile said that if the chief justice will not be able to return on Wednesday for cross examination, his testimonies will be stricken off the record and the case will be considered submitted for resolution.
Earlier, Supreme Court spokesperson Midas Marquez said in a radio interview that a blood test on Corona showed he had elevated Troponin T levels and the diagnosis is a possible heart attack.
Marquez said he is not sure if the chief justice will be able to take the witness stand on Wednesday as ordered by the impeachment court.
